If you are looking to give back to the community over the next several weeks, the Door County YMCA has a few ideas for you. In this week’s Y-Wednesday Podcast, Communications and Outreach Executive Amy Gamble discussed several ways you can support the community.
The Door County YMCA and the Knights of Columbus are collecting new and gently used coats for their Coats for Kids distribution event from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 10 at the Sturgeon Bay Program Center.
You can also bring nonperishable food items for the Door County YMCA’s Community Cupboard, which is open Mondays and Wednesdays for community members to use with no questions asked.
The Door County YMCA is also looking for more vehicles to set up in its parking lots for its annual Trunk or Treat event Oct. 30, as well as volunteers to lend a hand with other programs during the fall and winter months.
