Mark O. Thomas was born on February 6, 1923 in Denver, Colorado to Clare and Hazel (nee Hooyer) Thomas. He died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Lutheran Home & Services in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Mr. Thomas worked as a corporate attorney for Dole Valve Company, Eaton Yale, Masonite, and International Paper during his long career.
Mark is survived by his children Dave (Joanne) Thomas, Suzan (Dennis) Paulson and Carolyn Bannister; his grandchildren Greg (Rhonda) Thomas, Steve (Nancy) Paulson, Cindy (Bill) Hutchison, Andrew (Alicia) Paulson, Sally (Michael) Morton, Jen Clare Paulson and his great-grandchildren Hollie, Samantha, Max, Brooke, Amelia "Mimi", Libby, Hope, Jack, Trey, Susan, Jacqueline, Lindsay, and Miller.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Thomas (nee Beart), his parents as well as his brother John Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. in St. John the Beloved Chapel at the Lutheran Home, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Private interment will be in Little Sister Cemetery in the Town of Liberty Grove, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Lutheran Home & Services, 800 W. Oakton, Arlington Heights, IL, 60004.
