Marilyn Anderson, 79, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on March 8, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.
She was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Door County to William and Lorraine (Jandrin) Kinnard. On Feb. 19, 1966, she married Ceylon Anderson at St. Peter and Paul in Institute. He passed away on Feb. 13, 2020.
For many years, Marilyn worked as a CNA at Dorchester Nursing Home in Sturgeon Bay. She enjoyed playing Bingo and socializing wherever she went. She especially treasured time spent with family and friends.
She is survived by 3 children, Julie (Jerry) Popour and Lisa Anderson, of Sturgeon Bay, and Karen (Stephanie) Anderson, DePere; daughter-in-law Nancy Anderson, Sturgeon Bay; 5 grandchildren, Tyler (Michaela), Brianna, Bradly (Kayla), Meagan (Michael), and Jared (Harley); 5 great-grandchildren, Andyn, Ella, Averi, Aurelia and Georgia; 2 sisters, Patsy (Tim) Kruse and Carol Demmin, brother David (Amy) Kinnard and sister-in-law Sue Kinnard; and her beloved dog Scout. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Jim and Scott, grandson Devon, 5 brothers and 3 sisters, and in-laws.
Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Institute at a later date. Friends and relatives may visit the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.
