Cynthia L. Partekel

Cynthia Lou Ann Partekel, 74, of Ellison Bay, passed away Wednesday morning May 27, 2026, in Green Bay at Patient Pines ALF with her husband Ronald at her side.

She was born August 9, 1951, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of the late Alvin and Pauline (Dyer) Collins. She graduated from Richwoods High School in Peoria. Cynthia received her real estate license and worked as an agent for a few years. That predisposition for customer service and sales served as an asset throughout her career path led to a rewarding career with Globe and Vistar Auto Glass Specialists as a customer service representative.

Cynthia found her life partner in Ronald James Partekel after forming a band together in Cicero, IL when Cynthia tried out as lead singer for the band. They have been together for 49 years and were married in 2000. She enjoyed music and performing. Cynthia had sung with Tower Chorale group in Lagrange, IL and continued to perform in the choir at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay.

She loved long hikes outdoors, especially along beaches, animals, and feeding wildlife in her yard. Her love of gardening was so strong that even in challenging health, Cynthia would crawl up the hill to her garden if it meant spending any amount of time there.

She was a sweet, considerate, kind, compassionate, loving person who welcomed all. She loved to travel, appreciated art, attending musicals and concert performances, and playing her violin.

Surviving family includes her devoted husband, Ronald of Ellison Bay; son, Brian Weller and wife, Tram, of London, England; with three grandchildren, Alexander, Scarlett, Georgiana; her sister, Gloria Byers, of Indiana, and children Katherine, Agela and Michele; brothers, David Collins and wife, Cathy, of Evansville WI, and Minister Robin Collins, of Minnesota; and close family relation Deana Collins and Cathy Collins. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alvin James and Pauline Collins; and two brothers, Alvin Collins and Gary Collins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at noon at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay with Rev. James Honig officiating. Burial will be at Little Sister Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit at the church on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at noon.

Casperson Funeral Home in Sister Bay is caring for Cynthia and her family. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Cynthia may be shared with her family through her tribute page at www.caspersonfuneralhome.com.
