Dale Oliver Williams was born December 31, 1945, and passed away suddenly with his wife by his side on May 26, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born in Sturgeon Bay to Mercedes (Vertz) and Stanley Williams, Dale grew up in Baileys Harbor alongside his brothers, Bill and Ronald. Dale was previously married to Jeri Voeks, with whom he had one daughter, Lisa. He graduated from Gibraltar High School and began his career in construction with Joseph Parent Construction before cofounding Harbor Construction with his long-time business partner, Keith Bonville.
Dale worked tirelessly in his business up until his passing. His unmatched work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and genuine respect for those around him earned him admiration throughout the community and among all who worked with him over the years. Dale spent his life in Baileys Harbor, the town he loved deeply and served faithfully. He raised his family there and dedicated countless hours to the community, including his service on both the Town and County Boards. One of his proudest contributions was helping build the softball field at the Baileys Harbor Rec Park with friends Dick Franke and Louie Oldenburg—a project that continues to bring joy to generations.
A man of many passions, Dale became a pilot in 1972 and found great joy in aviation. He loved boating with friends and spent many Sundays at Chambers Island. He was an avid golfer, sharing countless rounds with his favorite foursome and with his wife, Mary Anne. Sundays were also often spent at Lambeau Field, cheering on the Packers with dear friends Peter and Catherine Reddin.
Above all, Dale cherished his family. He shared 42 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Mary Anne, and took immense pride in his role as a father and grandfather. He was devoted to his children—Lisa, Meghan, and Michael—and adored his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Dale is survived by his wife, Mary Anne; his children, Lisa Jonas (David Prockish), Meghan (Michael) Daubner, and Michael (Hailey) Williams; his four granddaughters, Paige, Charlotte, Vivienne, and Aurora; and his great-grandson, Carter; step grandchildren, Remington, Kincaid and Danielle. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Mercedes Williams; his brothers, Bill (Carol) Williams and Ronald Williams; and his great-granddaughter, Baby Kesslie. Dale’s legacy as a businessman, a leader, a friend, a husband, a father, and a grandfather will be remembered for generations.
He will be greatly missed. The Williams family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all first responders, with special thanks to Mark Merrill and Kasey Oldenburg. Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to families and the community are deeply appreciated.
We would also like to sincerely thank Bruce and Jill Alexander and their entire staff, as well as Tim Callahan & Badger Foods for their donations and assistance during this time.
Dale's life will be honored with a funeral service held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7973 Hwy 57, Baileys Harbor on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Gary Scharrig officiating.
