Mariann L. Snyder

Mariann L. Snyder left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2026, at the age of 75. We will miss her big, beautiful smile, which she shared with everyone she met; her wonderful sense of humor; and her ability to always look on the bright side of life. Her positive attitude was infectious, and we all benefited from it. Most of all, we will miss her warm hugs and genuine, unconditional love. Mariann truly believed in the saving grace of Jesus. She cherished her daily devotions, reading her Bible, journaling, and she lived her life accordingly. During her daily two-mile walks, she would take time to count her blessings and commune with her God. Mariann was born in New Richmond, Wisconsin, on April 3, 1951, to her proud parents, Dale A. Wheeler and Rose M. (Priebe) Wheeler. In the spring of 1969, she graduated from Chippewa Falls Senior High School in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. On September 1, 1973, in Elmore, Minnesota, Mariann married her love and life partner of 53 years, Tucker Jon Snyder. She was devoted to her family and embraced motherhood fully—it became her life’s passion. Her sons, Travis Jon and Andrew James, were born in 1981 and 1984, respectively. In later years, her heart burst with joy every time she was blessed with a grandchild. They lit her world with a brilliance no one could deny. Mariann was born to care for others, and she did so throughout her entire life. As the oldest child, she was a natural caregiver—from assisting a widower as a teenager, to working as a dental assistant, managing an assisted living facility, and most recently working with Advocates In-Home Care of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Her caring spirit continued even in death, as Mariann graciously chose to be a registered organ donor, giving others the gift of hope and the possibility of a longer, fuller life. She is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure by her husband, Tucker Jon Snyder of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; sons, Travis Jon (Abby) of Naples, Florida, and Andrew James (Alyssa) of Marshall, Minnesota; five beautiful grandchildren—Malik, Jayden, Jake, Isabella, and Quinn; five siblings, Diana Smetana (Mike), Dean Wheeler (Stephanie), Rebecca Albert (Mike), Todd Wheeler (Janie), Lori Boley (David); sister-in-law Pat Ludow (Bob), a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and so many wonderful friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dale and Evie Wheeler; her paternal and maternal grandparents; a brother-in-law; and sisters-in-law. Memorial service information will be announced at a later date. Mariann leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, compassion, and service. Her life was a blessing to so many, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all those who were fortunate enough to know her. “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
