Y-Wednesday: Teeing off for the community

Whether you swing golf clubs or not, there are ways you can support the Door County YMCA in the coming weeks. In our latest episode of the Y-Wednesday Podcast, Door County YMCA Marketing and Events Director Makayla Thoma stopped by to talk about the upcoming Tee Up For Kids Golf Outing on September 8th at Maxwelton Braes Golf Course in Baileys Harbor. The scramble-style outing features 18 holes of golf, food, and beverages. The event benefits youth programming at the Door County YMCA. Thoma also touched on two ways you can support your neighbors through its community cupboard and community closet. The Door County YMCA is accepting food items like pancake mix, peanut butter and jelly, and other staple items for its community cupboard. It is also accepting toiletry items like shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, deodorant, and body wash for its community closet.
