Gamblers swept by Lumberjacks

With a three consecutive game stretch, the Gamblers are at risk of coming away empty-handed. In the middle of the three day window, the Gamblers were lit up by the Muskegon Lumberjacks, 6-2. It was the second straight loss at the hands of Muskegon, as the Gamblers also lost in overtime Friday. Green Bay would open up the scoring on a goal from John Mittelstadt in the first period. Muskegon would answer with a goal to tie. The Gamblers would go back ahead with a goal from Ryan Greene. Before the first intermission, The Lumberjacks would tie the game up at two. They would not look back.

Muskegon would cap off the sweep, scoring five unanswered. The Gamblers fall to 24-12-3 this season. Green Bay and Muskegon are now tied for second place in the USHL Eastern Division. The Gamblers will have a make-up road game against the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Sunday at 3:05 P.M.
