Kewaunee's Ihlenfeldt leads All-Packerland Conference teams

Several local athletes received honors over the weekend as the Packerland Conference named their All-Conference teams.

 

For baseball, Kewaunee Cal Ihlenfeldt took top honors as the player of the year and was also named unanimously to the first team as a pitcher. The conference champion Kewaunee Storm boast 10 overall selection to the All-Packerland squad, three of which were first-team selections. Southern Door's Tyler Neinas, Jack Peterson, Jaden Diller, and Christian Counard Gibraltar's Brady Kita and Rylan Caldecott,  Kewaunee's Payton Kohnle and Owen Carlson, and Sturgeon Bay's Bryce Plzak were all local players named first-team performers.

 

In softball, Peshtigo's Allison Peters was named the player of the year. Of local note, Algoma's Macie Zimmerman, Southern Door's Colbi Jauquet, Chloe Lustila, Sophia Counard, and Ashlyn Delfosse, Kewaunee's Breanna Riha, Sevastopol's Naomi Rikkola, Jolene Luedtke and Libby Ash were all named First Team All-Packerland Conference.

 

For golf, Peshtigo's Grant Bauman took the top prize while the First Team was also made up of Sturgeon Bay Isaak Aune and Tre Wienke, Gibraltar's Finn Salm, Kewaunee's Evan Maccaux, and Southern Door's Finley LaVine.
