For football players at Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay, Kewaunee, and Luxemburg-Casco, summer is officially over.

August 1st marks the first day of practice for 11-man football teams in the state ahead of their first games on August 1st. The Clippers went 5-5 in their return to 11-man after a three-year journey in 8-man. The Spartans went 5-5, falling to conference foe Fox Valley Lutheran in a Level 1 playoff game.

Their first games of the season are as follows (all take place at 7 p.m. on August 18th):

L-C vs. Xavier

Kewaunee at Kiel

Sturgeon Bay vs. Waupun

Southern Door vs. Oostburg

Girls golf is the next in line with their first practice scheduled for August 7th. Girls swimming and 8-man football start on August 8th.
