Packers Love a good comeback, beat Saints

When all hope was lost, love found a way in the fourth quarter as the Green Bay Packers stole a win from the New Orleans Saints 18-17 on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints tried taking the crowd out of the game early with Derek Carr marching the team down the field on their second drive of the game, finding Jimmy Graham in the endzone for a touchdown. A punt returned for a touchdown and a field goal later, the Packers found themselves in danger of losing their home opener after just one half of play, entering the locker room down 17-0.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Packers finally got some points on the board with a field goal early in the fourth quarter that would provide the spark the team would need. Jordan Love squeezed his way into the endzone and converted a two-point play to make it 17-11 before throwing the eventual game-winning score to Romeo Doubs with under three minutes to play. The Saints would have one more chance to win the game, but a field goal attempt by Blake Grupe veered right to secure the win for the Packers.

The team will have just a few days to prepare for their next opponent as they host the Detroit Lions for Thursday Night Football.
