Sturgeon Bay American Legion got back on track Tuesday with a come from behind 12-7 win over rival Kewaunee County. A banner night at the plate for Casey Geisseman included a three run home run, a double and two singles. Giesseman tallied an incredible six runs batted in.
Bays pitcher Riley Schartner earned the win in relief and scored three runs in the game. Jared Lindemann and Riley Cordier had two hits each. All nine Sturgeon Bay starters finished with at least one hit to tally 14 as a team.
Kewaunee County used four pitchers and Logan Joniaux took the loss. The Lakers were led by Dan Dorner and Sam Koss with two hits apiece.
Sturgeon Bay is now (6-3) in conference and (10-7) overall. Kewaunee County is (5-4) in conference.
