Algoma still looking to fill city treasurer position

The City of Algoma is still looking to fill a crucial administrative role in its ranks sooner rather than later.  The City Treasurer position has been open since Amber Shallow left last October after ten years at the post to take a position in the Algoma School District.  City Clerk Erin Mueller says she and Administrator Matt Murphy have been filling in for the needed duties, but a full-time treasurer is needed for the long term.

Mueller notes that Shallow is only a phone call away and has helped answer questions on treasurer-related issues when needed.  Mueller adds that interested parties have until April 19th to apply for the treasurer position and can read the complete position description of duties and responsibilities here or on the City of Algoma's website.
