You’re one step closer to having another childcare option in Door County. Kayla Lehman from Children First Child Development announced on Tuesday that they will complete their purchase of 1743 Egg Harbor Road on Friday. The facility was the former home of the Door Community Child Development Center before it moved to its new facility on Gordon Road in the Town of Sevastopol. It is estimated that it will take approximately two months to prepare the facility for its new students. The Children First Development will be licensed for children from six weeks to four years old, with plans to have 15 teachers care for up to 76 children. The purchase comes about two months after the Zion Early Childhood Center closed, displacing approximately 60 children.
