The Destination Imagination (DI) teams from the area competed at the 2024 Wisconsin Northeast Sectional Tournament this past weekend at Algoma High School, with several teams advancing to the state competition in April.

District Coordinator for Algoma Schools Nicole Meverden says 58 teams from 10 programs participated in the sectional competition.  She says DI is an excellent way for young and older kids to learn problem-solving skills while working with teammates for a common goal.

Algoma qualified four teams for the state, along with several teams from Sevastopol schools.   The state Destination Imagination competition will be held on Saturday, April 6th, with the opportunity for teams to advance to the Global Championships, which will be held May 22-25 in Kansas City.
