If you missed last week’s episode of Bravo’s Top Chef, you still will not be shocked by what the featured dish will be when Door County is featured during the Wisconsin-centric season. This Wednesday’s episode will feature the remaining contestants taking their talents to the beach, where they will give their take on a fish boil. The Door County tradition has been a staple on the peninsula since Scandinavian immigrants needed an economical way to feed large groups of workers in the late 1800s. Destination Door County’s Jon Jarosh says it has been an exciting lead-up to the episode as bits and pieces of the peninsula have popped up in episodes since the premiere last month. Jarosh believes Door County will shine on the episode if last week's preview was an indication.
In honor of the episode’s debut and National Travel and Tourism Week, Destination Door County will host a special Bravo’s Top Chef Watch Party at the Door County Gala on Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. for the tailgate, followed by the actual viewing at 8 p.m. Among the special guests for the event will be Wisconsin Secretary of Tourism Anne Sayers.
