On Monday afternoon, a two-vehicle accident on State Highway 57 in Brussels forced the roadway's closure to northbound traffic for one hour.  At about 1:00 p.m., several emergency personnel from the Door County Sheriff’s Department and the Brussels Union Gardner Fire Department responded to the scene of the accident at the intersection of State Highway 57 and County Road H.  Detours were set up off Highway 57 on the northbound lane to allow for the cleanup of the roadway and emergency vehicles on site.  The southbound lane on Highway 57 remained open to traffic.  No further details are available at this time, and Door County Daily News will update this story as more information becomes available.
