Spring storm takes aim at northeast Wisconsin

The Door County Emergency Management Department wants you to be prepared for any storm that may hit the area, including the one expected to come through Tuesday night. The National Weather Service is predicting impactful severe weather to hit the area late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, bringing damaging winds, heavy rainfall, large hail, and, in some cases, tornadoes. No severe weather warnings have yet been issued for Door and Kewaunee counties, but the area is under a small craft advisory for people on boats. Because of the late arrival of the storms, Door County Emergency Management Department Director Jeb Saelens encourages you to be prepared ahead of time and have a way to receive information about watches and warnings.

The most severe part of the storm is expected to pass through between 10 p.m. and midnight. You can find tips on personal preparedness from the department here.
