According to the Associated Press, the country is coming off a record-breaking Thanksgiving travel season that saw more than three million people get processed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at the country's airports. If that trend continues through Christmas, it could surpass the estimated 115.2 million Americans that AAA believes traveled last year. Air travel appears to be heading towards another banner year, with global projections shooting for 9.5 billion passengers, which would be an increase of about 10 percent over 2023.
