A 69-year-old Sturgeon Bay man was taken to a Green Bay hospital after colliding with a deer while riding his motorcycle in the Town of Gardner Saturday.
The crash occurred at 4:45 p.m. as the man was traveling west on County K near Hilly Ridge Road.
According to the accident report, the man told the deputy he was traveling about 20 mph on his motorcycle when a deer suddenly crossed in front of him, giving him no opportunity to stop in time.
The crash closed one lane of traffic for about an hour while the man was treated and the motorcycle was removed. The roadway reopened just before 6 p.m.
