When it came to helping families in his community, Dan Rueckl knew where to turn: his own. Rueckl approached his family about a new post-retirement venture after the village’s only laundromat closed years ago, converting a portion of his building along State Highway 54 into a new one.
An extensive remodel later, Lux Wash Co. was born, giving the community the ability to wash items big and small on their own schedule without having to drive to Kewaunee or Green Bay to do their laundry or washing their furry family members. From researching the machines to opening the doors six weeks ago, Rueckl says it has been a great experience getting the whole family involved in a business that fills a community need.
The property has housed other Rueckl ventures in the past including pole building construction and storage units.
