Whether you swing golf clubs or not, there are ways you can support the Door County YMCA in the coming weeks. In our latest episode of the Y-Wednesday Podcast, Door County YMCA Marketing and Events Director Makayla Thoma stopped by to talk about the upcoming Tee Up for Kids Golf Outing on Sept. 8 at Maxwelton Braes Golf Course in Baileys Harbor. The scramble-style outing features 18 holes of golf, food and beverages. The event benefits youth programming at the Door County YMCA.
Thoma also touched on two ways you can support your neighbors through the YMCA’s community cupboard and community closet. The Door County YMCA is accepting food items such as pancake mix, peanut butter and jelly, and other staples for its community cupboard. It is also accepting toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, deodorant and body wash for its community closet.
