When you live in a purple state like Wisconsin, there are smiles on either side of the aisle when you talk about the fall election. Both parties have a full slate of candidates heading into the fall election, ranging from local races like Door County sheriff all the way up to governor and other statewide constitutional offices.

Door County Democratic Party Chairperson Kris Sadur says they have a good slate of candidates that can address the issues constituents are facing.

Door County Republican Party Chair Stephanie Soucek believes the controversy stemming from Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley pushing past Madison lawmaker Francesca Hong has allowed U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany to speak directly to voters about the issues that matter most to them.

Both parties will continue to be active leading up to Election Day on Nov. 3. The Democratic Party of Door County and Northern Door Indivisible continue to have pop-up events throughout the county on select days, including Wednesday in Sturgeon Bay. The Door County Republican Party hosted a Save Wisconsin Saturday event for Tiffany on Saturday at its 3rd Avenue headquarters.  Both Soucek and Sadur say they are vying for additional events to come to Door County over the next two months.
