Get ready to carve out some time for a fun way to get into the fall spirit with the family, Crossroads at Big Creek is inviting you to grab your friends, get creative and carve a pumpkin Oct. 9.
The free pumpkin carving event begins at 4 p.m. at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided, so you only need to bring your creativity.
Crossroads at Big Creek Executive Director Sam Koyen says there will be plenty of pumpkins to choose from.
“We'll have tons of pumpkins that have been grown out by the Peninsula Ag Research Station.”
The carved pumpkins will later be used to help light the trail during Crossroads’ “Trails and Treats” luminary hike later this month.
Koyen says the carving event is part of the preparation for that community event.
“This is in preparation to our lovely, luminary hike later this month.”
The pumpkin carving event is open to the public and free, thanks to community donors. Families can also take their pumpkins home after the event.
