Hazardous Waste Collection events for November 2026

Cleaning out your home or business before winter? The County of Door wants to help you dispose of hazardous wastes, for free.

The county is holding two household hazardous waste collection events: Friday, Nov. 6 at the Sister Bay/Liberty Grove Fire Station, from 2:00-4:00pm; and Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Door County Highway Dept., from 9-11am.

Bring unwanted items such as old gasoline, oil mixtures, pesticides, cleaners, paint products and batteries. This is NOT an electronics recycling event.

Limited funding is available for this program, and the collection will be operated on a first come, first served basis. There is no cost to the agricultural business or homeowner as part of this program. Costs are funded by the County of Door and the State of Wisconsin.

The County reminds you to stay in your vehicle and bring materials in a box or container. Before you go, check the county’s list to make sure your items are accepted.
