The cast and crew of “The Call List” have just a week’s worth of calls left to make, and they hope you answer. After opening at the end of September, “The Call List” is set to close with a matinee Sunday.
“The Call List” is part of the World Premiere Wisconsin Festival and got its start at the Door Kinetic Arts Festival before being completely rewritten and brought to the Third Avenue PlayWorks stage.
Written by Brian James Polak and starring Eva Nimmer, “The Call List” tells the story of a young woman who is handed a list of names to call to notify them of a law firm client’s death, only to discover a mystery unfolding in front of her. Artistic Director Jacob Janssen said the play was inspired by a podcast and embraces the challenge of writing something that features only one half of a conversation.
After “The Call List” closes Sunday, Third Avenue PlayWorks will begin preparing for the holidays with “It’s a Wonderful Life: Live in Door County,” beginning Dec. 2.
