Jason Yedica

Jason Yedica, 41, Casco, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.   He was born June 1, 1982, in Sturgeon Bay to Steve and Laurel Yedica.
Jason graduated from the Sturgeon Bay High School in 2001 and in 2004 he graduated from NWTC in the auto body program.
Jason married the love and high school sweetheart of his life, Melissa Moreaux on June 12, 2004 at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood.
Jason's career had him working at various car dealerships in the Green Bay area, but his favorite place to work was at Algoma Motors.  Jason took much pride in the work that he did and it reflected in his own cars and toys.  To call him picky or particular would be an understatement.
Jason always enjoyed working on projects, especially his 1983 Buick Regal and his 1970's trail Honda mini bike, which he completely restored both of them.  He has many toys and always customized everything he owned to what he wanted.
Jason was an amazing father and husband.
His greatest joy was the birth of his son, James Martin Yedica.  Jason and James spent many days in the shop together working on RC cars, playing video games, cruising in the car, riding ATV's and snowmobiling together.  Jason always called James his little buddy or his best friend.  Just recently, Jason had an idea for a car that had been given to James.  It looks like an 80's Nascar.  This project came on quickly with the help from Dave DeGrave   (Jason's brother from another mother) and Woody Wodack.  Both of these guys made his vision come true and he was able to teach his son to drive.
Jason enjoyed camping, riding UTV's and ATV's, snowmobiling, RC cars, spending time with friends and family.  He always loved a good burnout with his car or a friend's car.
Survivors include his wife Melissa, son James, parents Steve and Laurel Yedica, in-laws Dan and Sue Moreaux, sister Lindsey (Kyle) Coehoorn, brother-in-law Dan (Amber) Moreaux, many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Todd, maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation for Jason will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at the Schinderle Funeral Home, Algoma, from 11:00 am until the time of services at 3:00 PM with Rev. Phillips Sweet officiating.
The family wants to give a special thank you to family and friend's, Unity Hospice and Algoma Motors for all the care and kindness given to Jason and his family.
"Jason would say, if you learned anything from our family is to "Live Life to the Fullest and Always Throttle Down".
As per Jason's request, he wants everyone to dress casually.
