Anne Marie (Lautenbach) Fletcher

Anne Marie (Lautenbach) Fletcher, 48, of Ellison Bay, passed away peacefully with her husband, Stephen, and family by her side, on September 29, 2023, at her home in Ellison Bay.

She was born October 4, 1974, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the daughter of Arthur and Patricia (Johnson) Lautenbach. She grew up on the family dairy farm and even had a pet fox. Anne attended Sevastopol High School and graduated with the class of 1992. Anne worked several jobs over the years, including Going Garbage, where she met Stephen. She also worked at Ace Hardware. During her time there, it became known that Ace is the place for the Helpful Hardware Anne. Most recently, Anne was a Clerk for United States Postal Service, working in the Sister Bay office before transferring to the Baileys Harbor office, where she continued to work part time while going through her treatments.

On December 8, 2018, she and Stephen snuck off to Ellison Bluff County Park and were secretly married. It was their surprise gift to announce their marriage to their families at Christmas that year.

Anne loved her Puggle furbabies, Rufus and Riley.

Anne will be missed by her husband, Stephen; parents, Art and Pat Lautenbach; siblings, Cindy (Lloyd) Parsly, Art Lautenbach, Laureen Lautenbach, Mike (Lois) Lautenbach, Jeff (Tina) Lautenbach, Gloria (Mark Hasenjager) Lautenbach, Tim Lautenbach, and Tom (Jill) Lautenbach; mother-in-law, Ardis Fletcher, sisters-in-law, Alicia Fletcher and Alison Fletcher; nieces and nephews, Lloyd, Katie, Kaiela, Timothy, Paul, Lindsay, Megan, Kelsey and Brandon, and aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ethel and Frank Lautenbach, maternal grandparents, Hans and Viola Johnson; father-in-law, M. Keyes Fletcher and several aunts and uncles.

Anne's life will be honored with a graveside funeral service held at the Sister Bay Moravian Cemetery, 10924 Old Stage Rd, Sister Bay, where she will be laid to rest on October 6, 2023, at 1:00pm with Pastor Gary Scharrig officiating.

Stephen would like to invite everyone to the graveside service and stay for visitation and luncheon at the Sister Bay Moravian Church Hall immediately following the service.

The Fletcher and Lautenbach families would like to thank Unity Hospice for the care they provided, and their appreciation to all those that took time to pray for Anne during these difficult years. A special thank you to Laureen Lautenbach and Alison Fletcher for the personal care in the last few months. They would also like to thank Pat and Jill Hocker and the crew at Hocker’s Excavating for allowing Stephen to take time off to be with Anne over the last months.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the Sue Baldwin Cancer Fund.

Casperson Funeral Home in Sister Bay is assisting the Fletcher family. Expressions of sympathy, memories, and photos of Anne may be shared with her family through her tribute page at www.caspersonfuneralhome.com.
