Teri L. Graf

Teri L. Graf, 67, Algoma, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay with her family by her side. She was born on February 5, 1956, in Algoma to John and Frances (Freix) Piette.

Teri was a graduate of St. Mary School in Algoma and Algoma High School (1974). On September 24, 1977 she married her childhood sweetheart, Jim Graf, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Algoma. Together they raised three children, Gus, Gabe and Betsy.
She worked at St. Mary School as the Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed the many years working with students and assisting with the school administration. After retirement from St. Mary School, her career focused on the administrative and ownership roles of Graf’s Mobil Mart and A&W of Algoma.

Teri will be remembered for a great sense of humor, easy-going personality and loving spirit. She was fun to be around and could always lighten the mood with her quick wit and jokes.

She enjoyed traveling. Together, the family went on many road trips around the United States. Later, Teri and Jim spent many hours on the road with their dear friends Scott and Vicki Vlies. Many memories were made on these trips and with every destination there was a story to share, often comical.

Teri was a creative and talented seamstress and crafter. She made countless crocheted blankets, sewing projects, crafts and many of her children’s Halloween costumes. She enjoyed sharing her creations and gifted sentimental keepsakes to family and friends.

She loved listening to music and knew the lyrics to many songs. The Beatles were her all-time favorite band, and she will be remembered for wearing her favorite Beatles t-shirts.

Most of all, Teri will be remembered for being a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. Teri and Jim did everything together and it was rare to see one without the other. She was very close to all of her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She was a hands-on grandmother and you would often find her playing right alongside of them.

Teri is survived by her husband, Jim; three children Gus (Stacy), Gabe (Leann), and Betsy Graf, all of Algoma; four grandchildren August, Edgar, Lucy and Nora; brothers John (Linda) Piette, James (Beth Larsen) Piette; one sister Dianne Burke; brothers and sisters-in-law Vicki Anderson, Mike Graf, Susie (Dan) Werner and Tom (Alison) Graf; many nieces and nephews.

Teri is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Joseph (Sue) Piette; sister Linda (Lee) Pavlik; Jim’s parents, Lucille and Johnny Graf; brother-in-law Michael Burke and sisters-in-law Kathy Jordens and Luanne Graf.

Family and friends may call at St. Mary Church, Algoma from 9:00 AM, Saturday, October 7 until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.

The family would like to thank and express their sincerest gratitude to the Algoma Rescue Squad, Bellin Health Emergency and ICU Teams.
