Steven K. DeClark

Steven Keith DeClark, 67, of Brussels, passed away on October 31, 2023.  He was born on January 5, 1956, in Green Bay to Louis and Shirley (LeRoy) DeClark.  He graduated from Southern Door High School in 1974.  On November 28, 1976, he married Rachel A. Spude in Sturgeon Bay.

Steve worked for Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding for 25 years and owned and operated Forestville Feed and Grain for 12 years.  He also worked part-time for DeClark’s Plumbing.  Steve enjoyed spending time at the cabin, hunting, fishing, and socializing in his man cave’s.  He also enjoyed riding around in his golf cart with his loyal dog, Lilly.

Survivors include his wife Rachel; two children, Chris (fiancé, Liz) DeClark, Green Bay; Jennifer (Jason DuBois) DeClark, Brussels; five grandchildren, James, Dakoda, Marshall, Amelia, and Tucker; one great-granddaughter Aspen; a brother Daren DeClark, Brussels; a sister, Kathy (Kelly Zehren) Kinnard; in-laws, Paul and Julaine Spude, Gerald Rouer, Ron and Annette Hall, Pete and Linda Spude, Donna and Don Rudolph, Rita and Trevor Balicky, Joanne and Brett Guilette, Irene and Kiven Lardinois, John and Mary Spude, Jim and Donna Spude, Jane and Steve Chaudoir, Jerry and Shannon Spude.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Barb Rouer.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at St. Francis and St. Mary’s Parish in Brussels with Rev. Rex Palaya officiating.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Saturday.  A prayer service will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  On-line condolences may be offered at forbesfuneralhome.com
