Linda M. (Bubnik) Braunsky

Linda M. “Angel Baby” Braunsky, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Select Specialty Hospital in Madison. Linda was born on April 10,

1966 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to Howard and Theresa (Pisha) Bubnik. Linda

graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1984. She was married to Kevin Braunsky

on August 21, 1999 in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Linda was the director of La Petite

Academy for 28 years for several locations, with the most previous one being the

Fitchburg location.

 

Linda was a bright and happy woman, who would light up any room she went in. Linda’s

life motto was, Today I choose joy, which she practiced on a daily basis. In her free time

she enjoyed traveling, shopping, and spending time with her loving friends and family.

Linda was very passionate about coupons and made sure she got the best deal wherever

she was. Growing up. Linda was a strong practicing Catholic at St. Joesphs of Sturgeon

Bay and St Albert’s of Sun Prairie. She went on many mission trips with her daughter

Hailey throughout the years. She also was a devoted Packer Fan and enjoyed going to the

games. If she wasn’t at the actual game, she was screaming at the TV every Sunday

cheering them on.

 

Linda is survived by her husband Kevin Braunsky of Sun Prairie; daughter Hailey

Braunsky of Sun Prairie; two brothers Scott (Kim) Bubnik and Dave Bubnik both of

Sturgeon Bay; sisters-in-law Kim Bubnik of Sturgeon Bay, Nadine (Willie)

Braunsky-Baney of Columbus and Christine (Tom) Knezinek of Paris, TN; nieces Gracie

Bubnik, Abigail Bubnik, Leighla Baney, Shyla Baney; Nephews Roman Baney, Blain

Baney, Richard Cascio, and Micheal Cascio.

 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; Aunt Kitty (Pisha) and Uncle Pooky Tess;

cousin Diane Tess; Aunt LeNore and Uncle George Bubnik; Uncle Bill Resler;

mother-in-law Beverly Braunsky and father-in-law Richard Braunsky.

 

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M., on

Saturday, November 11, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sturgeon Bay. Fr. Matthew

Rappl will officiate. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
