Edith Wilber

 Edith Wilber, 92, of Sturgeon Bay passed away Thursday morning December 7, 2023 at Cardinal Ridge Residential Care, where she resided the past eight years.

     She was born at home in Crandon, WI on New Year's Eve 1930, daughter of Roscoe and Mathilda "Tillie" (Marvin) Jameson.

     Edith was united in marriage to Len Albert Wilber in Iron Mountain, MI on September 13, 1952.

     They moved to Sturgeon Bay in 1953. Edith initially worked at Leathem Smith Lodge and later Dorco Manufacturing, both in Sturgeon Bay.

     Edith and Len shared nearly 61 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2013. Edith raised four children and helped raise many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was proud of her family, and the home she and Len, built in Sturgeon Bay. For many years it was the gathering place for most holidays. Edith loved Christmas and especially Santa Claus ornaments and decorations. Every Christmas, she gave delicious, homemade candy and cookies as gifts to friends and family members. Edith also loved music, one of her favorite singers being Anne Murray, was an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading. Edith's enduring legacy is her love of family and unwavering kindness.

     Edith will be missed by her four children, Barbara (Richard) Zavrel of Hot Springs Village, AR, Brenda (Rob) LeCloux of Cherokee Village, AR, Robert Wilber of Sturgeon Bay, and Becky (Brad) Beaumont of East Troy, WI; five grandchildren, Heather (Brian) Rydeen and Matthew (Jessica) Long, Christopher (Stacey) Erickson, Lindsey Brehmer, and Sherry Wilber; five great-grandchildren, brother, George  (Mary) Jameson of Advance, WI along with Chris Voigt, dear family friend and other relatives.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Shane; siblings, Clyde Jameson, Ed Jameson and Marie MacAuley; siblings-in-law, Charles Jr., Floyd, Harvey, Harley, Wayne, Derl, Jack, Dale Wilber and Edith R. (Herb) Adams, Lillian G. (Frank) Mohr, and Laura C. (Ike) McNutt; and other relatives.

     Edith’s life will be honored by friends and family at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery, summer of 2024. She will laid to rest beside her husband, Len.
