Donna J. (Haen) Jorns

Donna J. Jorns, 79, of Little Harbor in the Town of Sevastopol, peacefully passed away at home Tuesday morning, February 13, 2024.

She was born December 15, 1944 in Sturgeon Bay the daughter of the late Harvey and Helen (Martens) Haen. Donna graduated from Gibraltar High School class of 1962. She received her associate degree in business from NWTC. On July 21, 1962, she married Harvey Edward Jorns. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Egg Harbor.

For many years she put her talents in the office to work at Emerson Motors and worked there during the 60’s, through the 70’s, 80’s, until the company closed in the 90’s. It was at that time she was asked to bring her office skills to managing the day-to-day affairs of S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and School. Donna did this until her retirement in July 2021. Along with managing family property rentals along the bay, Donna did the bookkeeping for Harvey and David Jorns Well Drilling, Inc.

Donna loved to read, liked solving Sudoku puzzles, and snowmobiling with Harvey. She liked attending concerts--Billy Ray Cyrus, and two Elvis concerts. Donna loved Elvis so much, if he was on TV she would pull out her camera and take a picture of Elvis on the tube.

Donna was fun-loving, caring and doting with a smile to light up a room. She was loved by all who knew her and a mom to many. Usually good conversation was over fresh brewed coffee, and something sweet wasn’t far behind.
