On Oct. 20, 1962, she married her true love, Tom Henquinet at St. Mary’s Church in Algoma. Together they raised three beautiful daughters: Laurie, Lynn, and Amy. Mary was a professional cosmetologist and ran Mary’s Country Curl out of her home for many years. She had numerous passions including being a member of the Moped Mamas, participating in bowling leagues, working in her flower garden, and playing cards with friends. She was also a long time and active member of St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels. Mary was a very proud grandma and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Mary was much loved by everyone who knew her due to her kind heart and willingness to always lend a hand. Her infectious smile, quick laugh, witty humor, and kind personality touched many people through all generations of her life. Her 61-year marriage to Tom brought a lifetime of love and was a true model of commitment and devotion to their family and friends. She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Laurie (Jim) Asher, Lynn (Craig) Walters, and Amy (Jeff) Uelmen; grandchildren: Tyler Walters, Alexa (Mitch) Olson, and Brooks Walters; Emma, Ben and Jacob Uelmen; and great-grandchildren: Colden and Asa Olson; sisters Sandy (Mike) Delebrau, Cheryl (Mike) Shefchek, and Diane (Dale) Veeser. She was preceded on death by her parents, brothers-in-law Mike Delebrau and Myron Henquinet. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at St. Francis and St. Mary Parish in Brussels. Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Forbes Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church on Friday.
