Darlene M. Mumper

Darlene Mary Mumper, 57, Kewaunee, brought endless joy and warmth to the hearts of all who knew her, passed away on July 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 18, 1967, in Two Rivers, WI, to the late Dayton & Irene Pekarek. A graduate of Kewaunee High School, she married the love of her life, Timothy Mumper, on July 25, 1986, in Manitowoc, WI. Darlene found true happiness in the simplest yet most meaningful moments of life. Her vegetable garden was a masterpiece, she poured her heart into creating the most delicious homecooked meals and baked goods, canning was another hobby; another passion of Darlene's was spending time with her grandchildren, playing games, and creating beautiful crafts together. She was their source of endless laughter and unconditional love, always present at their events with a proud smile on her face. Sister Saturdays were a tradition close to Darlene's heart, playing the role of the Easter Bunny during the holidays brought her joy. She also had an enjoyment for shopping and music festivals. Darlene was the glue that bound our family together and she will be missed by us all. Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Timothy Mumper; her children and grandchildren, Casey (Ashley) Mumper – Calvin and Aubrey, Courtney (Nicholas) Kudick – Addison and Timmy, Chelsey (Jake) Williquette – Kyler and Jordan; brothers, Duane (Veronica), Dean (Clare), Darrell, Darwin (Nancy), Darin (Margo), Delmar (Christine); sisters, Debbie (James) Niemojuski, Dotsie Pekarek; sister-in-law, Barbara (Barry) Severinsen; and brother-in-law, Dennis Mumper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dayton and Irene Pekarek; sister-in-law, Corinne Pekarek, and best friend Ann Schleis. Visitation will take place at Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services – Kewaunee on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 4:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church – Casco, from 9:30-11:00 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am with Msgr. Jim Dillenburg officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery – Norman. Online condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com.
