June Ann (DuPont) Poehls Holtz, 90, Algoma, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Waterfall Health of Algoma. She was born June 20, 1934, in Kewaunee to the late Louis J. and Caroline (Baloun) DuPont. June was a graduate of Algoma High School. As a young lady she worked at various jobs before she met and married Marvin Poehls, May 23, 1953. After her marriage, June worked at the Algoma Hardwood for about 20 years, then she was employed at Emerson Motors in Sturgeon Bay for 22 years. During her working years she married Gerald Holtz on October 22, 2005, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Rankin. June enjoyed reading, putting jigsaw puzzles together, watching TV, Friday Fish Frys, traveling in her younger years, playing her organ and crocheting. June was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Rankin. She is survived by her three stepchildren Allen (Theresa) Holtz, Connie Klein and Brian (Lori) Holtz; six step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Marvin and Gerald, two sisters and one brother-in-law Patricia Lohrey and Marilyn (Gary) Maedke. Family and friends will gather Thursday, August 8, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rankin from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Christopher Jackson officiating.
