James Jeanquart

James Jeanquart, 78, Casco, beloved husband and devoted father, passed away surrounded by his family at home on August 31, 2024. He was born at home in Brussels, WI on April 1, 1946, to the late Alvin and Della (Marchant) Jeanquart. On October 1, 1966, he married the love of his life Gloria Annoye. Together they had over 57 wonderful years together raising 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. James, also known as “St. James” led a vibrant life filled with passion and dedication. As a co-founder of Stewards of Grace Ministries alongside his wife Gloria, he touched the hearts of many with his unwavering faith and prayerful spirit. Remembered for his welcoming nature, James forged lasting friendships at the Village Kitchen and engaged in impactful Christian outreach activities. He led numerous bible studies, offered prayer to those in need, and brought joy to all those he encountered. He held and attended church at the local Thresheree's. He was an active participant in Promise Seekers and Christian Man Camp, where his dedication to his faith shone brightly. James enjoyed various hobbies, from ice fishing, being an avid hunter, and a dedicated instructor, teaching the importance of hunter safety to many. His love for the outdoors knew no bounds; he found solace in camping at the KOA Campground in Door County and participating in Rendezvous Muzzle Loading activities. A skilled welding engineer and instructor, James was a respected member of the sheet metal worker local 18. James is survived by his wife, Gloria Jeanquart; his children, Korina (Ross) Tlachac, Amy Jo Johnson, Joshua (Candy) Jeanquart, Jesse (Amy) Jeanquart; grandchildren, Mitchell (Anna) Tlachac, Megan (friend T.J. Agamite) Tlachac, Brooke Huebner, Brock Johnson, Mackenzie (friend Jordan Farber) Jeanquart, Logan Jeanquart, Wyatt Jeanquart, Colt Jeanquart, great-grandchildren, Cedar, Hayden, Jase, Jameson; brothers, Jerry (Delores) Jeanquart, Joe (Barb) Jeanquart. Al (Sandy) Jeanquart, Steve Jeanquart, Tim (Pam) Jeanquart; sister, Mary Ann Wanner; brother-in-law, Augie Gonzales, and sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Ron) Vandermause, Mary Jo Harrison, and Vicki Dart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Della Jeanquart; infant brother, Randy; sister, Gail Gonzales; nephew, Nicky; father- and mother-in-law, Roland and Vernal (Jandrin) Annoye. Visitation will take place at Stewards of Grace, 10821 Stage Rd, Brussels, WI 54204, from 9:00 am – Noon on Friday, September 6, 2024. Funeral service at 12:15 pm with Pastor Tom Athey officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Snow cemetery in Namur. Online condolence messages may be shared at KinnardFCS.com. A special thank you to his best friends Tom and Darlene Athey, as well as to all of those who came together in his final weeks and days to help care for him and share the Word and Prayer and to mom’s sisters, Cynthia, Mary Jo, and Vicki, for all their help in transporting mom to see dad, as well as Hope and Haley who helped to clean and get him to his doctor’s appointments.
