Janice Marie Mueller, 85, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Nov. 6, 2024. She was born on Aug. 26, 1939, in Gardner to George and Mary (Bosman) Destree. On Oct. 26, 1957, she married Roger E. Mueller at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Forestville. Family was the most important to Janice and she was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Janice welcomed everyone into her home. She and Roger enjoyed spending 17 years wintering in Florida, where they met many great friends. Janice also enjoyed baking, cooking, quilting, gardening, and puzzles. She is survived by her husband, 3 daughters, Diane (John) Massart, Luxemburg, Laurie (Brian) Karnopp, Green Bay, and Jennifer Mueller, Sturgeon Bay; 3 grandchildren, John (Liza) Massart, Justin (Renee) Massart, and Hope Karnopp; 4 great-grandchildren, Adelyn, Autumn, Collin, and Emilie; brother Harvey (Shirley) Destree; sister Sharon Larkin, sister-in-law, Joyce Destree. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Arnold Destree, Bernadine (Richard) Kaye, Doris (Harold) Kaye, Arlene (Roger) Braun, Lois (Wallace) Kipp, Dora Destree, brother-in-law Warren Larkin. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Forestville. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Forbes Funeral Home is assisting the family.
