Bonnie M. Slaby

Bonnie M. Slaby, 64, of Kewaunee, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024. She was born in Two Rivers on September 20, 1960, to Robert and Laverne (Behrmann) Coppersmith. She married Dennis Slaby on August 24, 1985, at Holy Rosary Church in Kewaunee. Bonnie loved spending time outdoors during all seasons of the year. She enjoyed U.T.V and A.T.V. riding, snowmobiling, driving tractors, floating on a pontoon boat, and watching wildlife, especially deer in the fields. Bonnie is survived by her husband Dennis; her siblings Margaret (Tom) Rhode, June Westerhouse, Mary Coppersmith, Donna Kubichek, Milton (Patsy) Coppersmith, and Karen Wright; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mary (Harvey) Paplham, Carla (Joe) Raisleger, Ron (Shelley)Slaby, Jeane (Keith) Dahlke, and Joe Jacobs. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laverne Coppersmith; her sister Joy Dunham; her mother-in-law and father-in-law Carl and Marjorie Slaby; brothers-in-law Steve Westerhouse and Tom Kubichek; and sister-in-law Joyce Jacobs. Visitation will take place Friday, November 22, 2024, from 8:30 am – 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Church in Casco, with the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am with Fr. Daniel Schuster officiating. Burial to follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Slovan. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online condolences can be shared at KinnardFCS.com. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Bonnie’s name. A special thank you to all the family members for helping. Also thank you to Unity Hospice, Aurora Hospital, and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center.
