Jay Braun, 66, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at home on Nov. 11, 2024. He was born April 15, 1958, in Algoma to Jerome and Margie (Romdenne). Jay attended Corpus Christi Catholic School and graduated from Southern Door High School in 1976. After high school, he worked at Peterson Builders Inc. for 15 years, and later worked for Exactech for 27 years. Jay enjoyed spending time with his close friends and riding his E-bike. He also liked to go fishing and enjoyed a good cigar now and then. He is survived by his mother Margie Braun, 4 siblings, Terry (Carol) Braun, Randy (Special friend, Karen) Braun, Renn (Special friend, Mary) Braun, and Tina (Mike) Boucher, all of Sturgeon Bay; 5 nieces, Cecilia (Troy), Jennifer, Erin, Alexandria (Isaac) and Katrina; special friends, Joe and Iba Cross and their children Norbert and Sophia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Bill Brunner officiating.
