Bernice Krohn
Bernice Krohn, 95, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away at her home on Nov. 22, 2024, with family by her side. She was born on December 23, 1928, in the town of Red River to Norris and Jennie (Gilson) Collins. On September 17, 1949, she married Clarence Krohn at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Algoma. Together they raised 7 children, Lynn, Jane, Jill, Sally, Gary, Susan and David. Bernice worked at the Country Kitchen Restaurant in Sturgeon Bay for 25 years. She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by 6 children, Jane (Don) Jones, Jill (Dennis) Nellis, Sally Krause, Gary Krohn, Susan (Dennis) LeRoy, and David (Jill) Krohn; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister Judy Westom, brothers, Alvin (Dorothy) Martin, and Jim (Diane) Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Steven Martin, husband Clarence, daughter Lynn Renard, grandson Dean Nellis, son-in-law Bob Krause, brothers, Harold (Elaine) Collins, and Carl (Ardella) Collins, parents-in-law Clarence Sr. and Mary Krohn, other in-laws, David Heuer, Jim Westom, Ruth (Roland) Herlache, and Dorothy (Melvin) Koller. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of mass. Forbes Funeral Home is serving the family.
