Ken Gothberg
Ken Gothberg, 94, of Sturgeon Bay passed away peacefully from natural causes with family by his side on December 6, 2024. He was born on July 18, 1930. Ken lived almost a century. Born to Swedish immigrants in Chicago. He worked on the railroad at the age of 14. Ken came to Door County as child referring to it as “God’s Country”. In 1950, Ken moved to Door County. A very skilled man at electrical and woodworking he and his wife Faye built their home from the ground up. Ken worked as an electrical engineer setting up the sound systems for Packers for seven years as well as hospitals, prisons and schools across Wisconsin. He worked as an electrical draftsman for both PBI and Bay Shipbuilding. Ken loved his family, nature, gardening, history and photography with a passion. He is with his wife Faye now and at peace, sadly missed by his family. Forbes Funeral Home is handling arrangements for cremation.
