Ronald Daubner

Ronald L.Daubner September 25, 1942 – November 29, 2024 (Aged 82) Ronald L. Daubner, 82, of Ellison Bay passed away peacefully at his Florida home on November 29, 2024. Ronald was born in Sturgeon Bay in 1942 to Leo and Hazel (Mickelson) Daubner. He was raised in Ellison Bay along with his younger brother Richard. Ronald graduated from Gibraltar High School in 1960. After high school, he worked in construction in both Green Bay and Racine. He continued his construction career in Door County for Carlson Erickson Builders and Great Northern Construction. Ron enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, bowling, shooting trap, and camping. He also enjoyed golf and in his later years he worked for his nephew, Jason, at Peninsula Golf Course where Ron spent most of his summer. Ron and his wife, Lynn, spent their winters in Florida camping in their RV along with close friends. Ron will be remembered for his contagious laugh and genuine kindness. No matter what hardships he endured, he always radiated positivity. Ron married Leila Faye Bauldry on August 31, 1963 (1940 – 1966, Aged 26). In August 1966, they welcomed their son, Darin (1966 – 2001, Aged 34). On May 25, 1968, he married Linda Mommaerts of Green Bay. In July 1977, they welcomed their son, Christopher (1977 – 1993, Aged 15). Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Hazel Daubner; his sons, Darin and Christopher; his brother, Richard Daubner and brother-in-law Bruce (Judy) Mommaerts. He is survived by his wife, Linda; nephews, Jason (Victoria) Daubner, Michael (Meghan) Daubner, and his niece, Michelle Daubner. He is also survived by sister-in-law Sharon Daubner, brother-in-law Roger (Susan) Mommaerts; sister-in-law Judy Mommaerts, brother-in-law Steve (Debbie) Mommaerts, and Evelyn (Emery) Mommaerts along with many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the Sister Bay Bowl at a later date.
