Lillian Zwicky

Lillian DuBois Zwicky, 100, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Dec. 24, 2024. She was born Nov. 6, 1924, in Brussels to Joseph and Mary (Baudhuin) DuBois. On Jan. 15, 1949, she married Marvin Zwicky in Sturgeon Bay; he preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1997. Lillian worked as a bookkeeper at the Baudhuin Yacht Harbor for many years and also helped her husband operate an orchard. She was an active member of Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay for over seventy years, and a past member of the St. Ann’s Society. Lillian enjoyed several pastimes including sewing, quilting, reading books, and baking cookies for her grandchildren. She also loved knitting and provided everyone in the family with homemade Christmas stockings. She is survived by three children, Bill Zwicky, Sturgeon Bay, Tom Zwicky, Egg Harbor, Ann (Mark) Jinkins, Sturgeon Bay; three grandchildren, David (Petek) Jinkins, Michael (Chelsea) Cooper, and Carolyn (Tom) Zwicky-Perez; five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mae DuBois. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Donald DuBois, Clifford (Lillian) DuBois, Raymond DuBois; a sister, Grace (Gilbert) Renard; in-laws, Harold Zwicky, Elmer Zwicky, and Irene DeForth. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at Hope United Church of Christ in Sturgeon Bay (141 S. 12th Ave. Sturgeon Bay). Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
