Fred James DeMeuse

Fred James DeMeuse, 55, of Sevastopol, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at his home. He was born December 30, 1969, in Sturgeon Bay, WI, the son of Darrell and Rachel (Kostichka) DeMeuse. Fred graduated from Sevastopol High School class of 1988 and attended UW-Platteville, UW Oshkosh and college in Larame, Wyoming. Fred worked for Orbital Technologies Corporation (ORBITEC) in Madison, where he designed parts for the International Space Station. He was also a HVAC technician for Wulf Brothers, and delivery technician for Wiegand Oil, and driver for Dave DeMeuse Trucking. He enjoyed learning about anything, collecting and fixing old cars, car shows, motorcycles, hunting with his father and friends. Fred will be missed by his mother, Rachel DeMeuse; son, Audie DeMeuse; siblings, Craig (Tracey) DeMeuse, Cheryl (Pete) Walsh, Karl DeMeuse, Darrick (partner, Kevin Marquez) DeMeuse; and cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell DeMeuse and nephew, Christopher Walsh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Institute, with Fr. Matthew Rappl and Fr. Matthew Simonar, concelebrating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery immediately following mass. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:40 a.m. In lieu flowers, memorials can be given to the family to help with the unexpected expenses.
