Michael Patrick O’Neil McDermott, 61, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Feb. 19, 2025, at Door County Medical Center. He was born Dec. 8, 1964, at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL to Dennis and Mary Ann (Kelley) McDermott. Michael graduated from Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL and attended Loyola University in Chicago. He worked in the sign making business and in the roofing business. He is survived by his parents, 2 brothers, Dennis (Tina) McDermott of Colorado, and William (Wendy) McDermott of Illinois, a sister, Sarah McDermott of Illinois; nephew and niece, Ryan and Carly McDermott of Colorado, and cousins including 12 McDermotts, 7 Smolas, 2 Kellys, and 5 Omers. Funeral services will be conducted at the Forbes Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at 7:00 pm. Family and friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery.
