LaVerne Josephine Delain, 94, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on February 22, 2025, at Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay. She was born on July 28, 1930, in Sturgeon Bay to William and Lucille (Haen) Behringer. On July 28, 1951, she married Robert X. Delain in Montgomery, AL. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2005. LaVerne and Bob owned and operated a number of businesses in Sturgeon Bay. She was a past member of the Corpus Christi Church and the Christian Mothers. Survivors include her four children, Bill Delain, Debra (George) Ledak, Tim (Robin) Delain, and Mike (Carrie) Delain; seven grandchildren, Maggie (finance Josh Zaring) and Sam Delain, Margaret and Bridgett Ledak, Kayla (Jake) Karbula, Maggie Shaffer, and Cole Delain; and one great-grandson, Hunter Delain. She was preceded by her parents, husband, brother William Behringer; four sisters, Bertha Cardy, Patricia Christopherson, Helen Burress, and Leta Guth. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday February 28, 2025, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Sturgeon Bay with Rev. Anthony Birdsall officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
