Daniel F. Kroll, Sr., 79, of Brussels, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. He was born on March 28, 1945, in Green Bay to the late John and Kathleen (Theisen) Kroll. On June 22, 1968, he married the love of his life, Jeannie Bomski at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church. Dan farmed all of his life, first with his dad on their farm in Bellevue before moving to Brussels where he farmed until his retirement. After retirement, he helped his son, Dan Jr., who took over the farm. He was Dan, Jr.’s #1 tractor driver. Dan loved their gambling trips to Laughlin, Nevada and to the U.P. at the Island Resort and Casino. They also made the occasional trip to Oneida Casino in Green Bay to play cards. Dan was always up for a good card game with family and friends. He most loved his family get togethers with the kids and grandkids, they meant everything to him. Dan was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannie; children, Daniel (Julie) Kroll, Jr., Randy (Becky) Kroll, Gary (Christine) Kroll and Tammy (Jeff) Coates; grandchildren, Katherine “Katie” Kroll, Randy “RJ” Kroll, Jr., Kyle Kroll, Johnathan Kroll and Zachary Kroll; brother, Wayne (Sandee) Kroll; sisters, Sandy (Don) Simmons, Connie (Mark) DeBaker and Judy Kroll; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Donald Kroll; grandson, Jacob Kroll; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert Sr. and Lorraine Bomski. Visitation will be held at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., on Friday, March 28, 2025, which is Dan’s 80th Birthday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
