Cheryl E. (Buelow) Hunt
Cheryl E. Hunt, 72 of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She had a stroke on March 3, 2025, that she never recovered from. Cheryl was born on April 11, 1952, the daughter of Johanna (Pliska) and Arthur Buelow. She grew up in the Junction City area. Cheryl married Dennis Berkovitz and moved to Kewaunee to run the family fish market. They were married for 20 years and later divorced. Cheryl then moved to Brussels and started working at C&S Manufacturing where she met Thomas Hunt and were married for 20 years. He died in 2020 from cancer. Cheryl retired in 2020 from C&S and then moved to Sturgeon Bay. She is survived by siblings, Clifford, Randall (Jill), James (Debra), Gail (Bruce) Kuklinski, Wayne, Mark (Jackie); and Donna (Tanck) Buelow; stepchildren, Laura (Mark) Logerquist, and Tommy Jean (Nathan) Prelaski; and many nieces and nephews. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother and father; siblings, Arthur Jr, Robert (in infancy), Ronald, and Ruth Stencil; and stepdaughter, Candace Frea. “A special thank you to the great staff at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Also, a grateful debt of thanks to Richard and Lori Collins for their love and thoughtfulness in taking Cheryl into their hearts, during this time of need. You are truly the meaning of great friends! God Bless!” A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2025 at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery in Institute where Cheryl will be laid to rest next to her husband, Thomas.
