Germaine E. Doell, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on August 6, 2025, in Algoma. She was born June 13, 1938, in Sturgeon Bay to Harold and Virginia (Tebon) Polecheck. On June 22, 1957, she married Myron O. Doell at Salem Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2015. Germaine was a long time and faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church. She loved reading, doing word searches, and travelling to northern Wisconsin. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include 3 sons, Steve (Patti) Doell, Ken (Karen) Doell, and Dave Doell, all of Sturgeon Bay; 3 grandchildren, Jessica Doell, Robin (Dean) Gordon, and Tyler (Mercedes) Doell; 2 great-grandchildren, Cason and Levi Gordon; 2 sisters-in-law, Virgil Doell and Marge Polecheck. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Daniel Polecheck and sister June Kramer. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 11, 2025, at Salem Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church. Forbes Funeral Home is serving the family.
